Kelly Redfield is a registered dietitian and a member of the care team at WellTheory, a virtual care platform with a mission to reverse the autoimmune epidemic through nutrition and lifestyle-based coaching. At WellTheory, Kelly provides medical nutrition therapy and creates individualized care plans that span nutrition counseling, functional testing, and supplement therapy. Having navigated her own health challenges, Kelly wears the patient and practitioner hat; she brings passion, empathy, and lived experience to understanding and treating inflammatory disorders, especially those related to the digestive and immune systems.
Prior to joining WellTheory, Kelly worked as a clinical dietitian at Ascension Seton Medical Center, Texas’ leader in cardiac transplants and ventricular assist devices. While there, she provided specialized nutrition care for patients in the cardiovascular and heart transplant units. Before that, Kelly provided nutrition support and counseling for oncology patients at Texas Oncology, one of Texas’ largest cancer treatment and research providers.
Kelly received a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Texas in Austin and a Master’s in Nutrition for Wellness from Bastyr University. She is also an active Dietitians in Integrative and Function Medicine (DIFM) practice group member and has further certification through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
